The UW Medical Foundation participated in Focus on Energy’s Retrocommissioning program and received over forty thousand dollars in incentives for their energy efficiency efforts. The energy efficiency projects completed are expected to save UW Health’s Clinic in Madison, Wisconsin over 627,000 kWh of electricity and 24,000 therms of natural gas, effectively eliminating over 1 million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions. When you factor in energy savings and the incentive from Focus on Energy, the cost of the efficiency projects is expected to be recovered in just over six months.
