Green Bay, WI – Having the right contractor can make a big difference when it comes to saving energy and money, as one Green Bay church found out this year.
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church knew at the end of last winter it needed to upgrade its heating units, so it called Professional Heating & Air Conditioning. The company is a Trade Ally with Focus on Energy and suggested the church look into the benefits of the Focus on Energy program.
“Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is thankful for the knowledgeable and dependable staff of Professional Heating & Air Conditioning. Professional replaced three of our old, inefficient heating units and they went above and beyond our expectations to ensure that our new units would serve the congregation well into the future,” said Pastor Jennifer Fite.
The three higher-efficiency heating units qualified for Focus on Energy incentives totaling $1,800, which helped offset the cost of the investment. The church will also save money for years to come – an estimated $1,300 per year – thanks to heating units that more-efficiently warm their congregation.
“It has been a joy to work with Professional Heating & Air Conditioning and we look forward to working with them again as we continue to improve our facility.” Fite said.
Professional Heating & Cooling has worked on more than 100 Focus on Energy projects over the years and understands how to help its residential and business customers save money while making Wisconsin more energy-efficient.
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is a customer of WPS, one of the 107 Wisconsin utilities that fund the Focus on Energy program.
An evaluation report earlier this year found every $1 invested in Focus on Energy programs creates $5.93 in benefits for Wisconsin, including economic benefits, reduced energy costs, and reduced pollution.
