Madison, Wis. – Energy Consultants of Wisconsin (ECW) has been lighting up properties across the state this year, helping multifamily property owners find major energy savings.
As a FOCUS ON ENERGY® Trade Ally, Kurt Gruetzmacher and his team at ECW provide energy expertise to their clients and make sure each of them know about the financial incentives available through the Focus on Energy Program.
“I’ve been working with Kurt for the last two years and have been impressed with his use of our program and his dedication to his customers,” said Elsie Kuczynski, an Energy Advisor with Focus on Energy.
Energy Consults of Wisconsin, based in Grafton, has worked on 72 lighting projects in 2019 through Focus on Energy’s Multifamily Energy Savings Program, helping its customers access $107,827.40 in financial incentives and save more than $200,000 in avoided energy costs in the first year alone.
Those projects include LED light installation in housing units, common areas and parking garages. Combined, the projects will save an estimated 1,950,067 kilowatt hours of electricity this year, which is enough to meet the electric needs of 240 average homes for a full year.
“Kurt works hard to ensure his equipment qualifies for incentives so that he can make them available to his customers,” Kuczynski added. “He and his crew are always busy, but will make the time to happily answer questions when needed.”
ECW also helps customers working with Focus on Energy’s small business programs.
Focus on Energy incentives are available to customers of the 107 Wisconsin utilities that partner in Focus on Energy. A recent third-party evaluation noted Wisconsin runs the most cost-effective energy efficiency programs in the nation. It also found every $1 invested in Focus on Energy generates more than $5 in benefits for Wisconsin, including economic benefits, reduced pollution and reduced energy costs.
