An independent, four-year (2019-2022) achievement report for the Focus on Energy program shows increased awareness and participation amongst Wisconsin businesses and residents, that continues to deliver significant and cost-effective energy savings.
The report found residents and businesses who participated in the past four years will save a combined $3.5 billion on their energy bills over the lifetime of their installed equipment incentivized by Focus on Energy. Every dollar invested by Focus on Energy creates a positive impact on Wisconsin's economy generating more than $4 for every $1 invested from 2019-2022.
“Time and again, Focus on Energy clearly demonstrates the tremendous value it brings to our state in immediate savings, but also in avoiding the costly construction of power plants and transmission lines,” said Public Service Commission of Wisconsin Chairperson Rebecca Cameron Valcq. “As more Wisconsinites implement energy efficiency upgrades, the economic impact shows that our investment in Focus on Energy is sound and will pay dividends into the future.”
