Focus on Energy Trade Ally Receives Prestigious Department of Energy Award

MADISON, WI – Focus on Energy, Wisconsin's statewide program for energy efficiency and renewable energy is proud to share the achievements of one of its outstanding Trade Ally partners. C.S. Construction, a contractor with Focus on Energy's Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® Program, was recently awarded the Department of Energy's prestigious Contractor of the Year award. The Eau Claire-based company is one of four Home Performance with ENERGY STAR contractors in the country that received this award for their work in maximizing home performance and energy efficiency. The award recognizes participating contractors who exhibit outstanding professionalism, builds strong customer relationships, and applies building science solutions to improve homes.

C.S. Construction is a design-build construction company that achieved a 10-fold increase in projects from 2016 to 2017, garnering 4,577 million British thermal units in energy savings more than $540,000 in incentives through Focus on Energy for their customers. Through their partnership with Focus on Energy, they help educate landlords about the benefits of making energy efficient improvements in their rental properties with Focus on Energy incentives.

The Focus on Energy Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program pairs homeowners with trained contractors to conduct energy assessments and make energy-saving improvements. Participants can save up to $2,250 off the total cost of eligible energy efficiency home improvements including air sealing and home insulation.
