Finding the Perfect Lightbulb for Your Home

Making the right choice isn't always easy. But, there’s no reason picking a lightbulb for your home shouldn’t be. Let us help you find the perfect lightbulbs for every space in your home, with just three simple steps.

  • Pick a style. When it comes to lightbulbs, shape and style matter. Use the chart below to determine the styles best suited for your home’s indoor and outdoor fixtures.

  • Choose the brightness. When choosing your LED bulbs, look on the label for light output in lumens instead of watts. To help determine the level of brightness you need, reference the chart below to compare incandescent bulbs to LEDs. LEDs use less energy (wattage), so you don't have to worry about sacrificing brightness to save on your energy bill.

  • Pick a color. Everyone wants their home to look and feel just right, and the color temperature, shown in Kelvins (K), of a bulb can go a long way in achieving that. Lower K means warmer, yellowish light, while higher K means cooler, bluer light. So, you can set a relaxing mood in your living room or bedroom with a warmer color bulb and let your kitchen or bathroom shine with a cooler color bulb.
